About 60 parishioners were scattered about the Byzantine Catholic Church in Smithtown at a recent Sunday service. Notably missing were children. The service was conducted by the latest in a series of visiting priests. After it was over, attendees quietly filed out. Those who still worship at the Church of the Resurrection on Juniper Avenue remember the not-so-long-ago days of overflowing attendance at services.
