James Akina

James Kimo Francis Akina, 43, of Kamuela, died July 4 at his residence. Born Jan. 16, 1965, in Kailua, he was a bus driver for Laupahoehoe Bus Co., Bragado Bus Co. and Akita Enterprise and a funeral director for Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 16 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home for a 10 a.m. service. He is survived by sister, Adrianne Akina, of Kamuela; brother, Charles (Serene) Akina III, of Kawaihae; hanai mother Hannah Kahee, of Hilo; hanai sisters, Janice (Harvey) Ogomori, of Honolulu, Christina Lloyd, of Vancouver, British Columbia; hanai brother, Lambert (Blanche) Wong, of Honolulu; three nephews.
