UPDATE 1-Golf-PGA-Garcia overhauls Curtis at Oakland Hills

By Mark Lamport-Stokes BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan, Aug 10 (Reuters) - American Ben Curtis birdied the par-four first to stretch his lead to three strokes in the final round of the U.S. PGA Championship on Sunday. One ahead after the storm-delayed third round was completed earlier in the day, the 2003 British Open champion struck a superb approach to seven feet and calmly rolled in the putt. That left Curtis at three under overall in blustery, overcast conditions at Oakland Hills Country Club, where both his playing partners faltered at the opening hole. Big-hitting American J.B. Holmes ran up an ugly triple-bogey after driving into trees on the left and fluffing his second shot while Swede Henrik Stenson bogeyed after also missing the fairway to the left.
