One ahead after the storm-delayed third round was completed earlier in the day, the 2003 British Open champion struck a superb approach to seven feet and calmly rolled in the putt. That left Curtis at three under overall in blustery, overcast conditions at Oakland Hills Country Club, where both his playing partners faltered at the opening hole. Big-hitting American J.B.
