Saudi ministry sets up committee to hold RCCI election

JEDDAH - The Saudi ministry of commerce and industry has set up a special committee to guarantee a free and fair election for the new board of directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). Businessmen and businesswomen will compete for 10 seats in the election scheduled on October 15. “Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Zainal Alireza ordered the constitution of a supervising committee under Ibrahim Al Harbi with Saeed Al Otaiby and Abdullah Al Nasyan as members,” Abdul Malik Al Sinani, acting deputy secretary-general of the RCCI, said in Riyadh on Wednesday. “All the technical and operational preparations for the election to the RCCI’s board of directors are in place,” he added.
