Aug 10 2008 by Blair Wood, Wales On Sunday MO NASIR has brushed aside his Olympic woes by teaming up with Frank Warren and Enzo Calzaghe as he looks to launch his pro career. Nasir’s Beijing hopes were shattered when an ankle injury forced him out of qualifying for the Games. And the Commonwealth Games bronze medallist has since turned his back on the amateurs, opting to go professional with Warren. The talented flyweight is now scheduled to make his pro debut in September. And, to give himself the best chance of making the big time, he started training at the Calzaghe Gym in Newbridge two weeks ago.
