Texans Notes: Four new starters make debuts

Fab four The Texans had four new starters when they opened the preseason against the Broncos on Saturday night. Rookie left tackle Duane Brown made his NFL debut at left tackle, while Zac Diles made his first start at strongside linebacker. Center Chris Myers and cornerback Jacques Reeves, two free-agent acquisitions, also made their debuts as Texans. Scary opening The Broncos lost two players on the opening drive of the game, one of whom suffered a serious neck injury and concussion and was taken to a local hospital. Strongside linebacker Boss Bailey left with a sprained ankle. His backup, Louis Green, was injured a few plays later on a Matt Schaub throw across the middle to tight end Owen Daniels.
