Tough loss for Moore as P-Rays get shut out

From staff reports For The Register-Herald DANVILLE, Va. — The Princeton Rays could muster no run support in a tough loss for Matthew Moore. The Rays scratched out just four hits and Moore allowed just one run over four innings in a 1-0 loss to the Danville Braves Saturday. The Braves scored the only run of the game in the third when Shayne Moody came in on Gerardo Rodriguez’s groundout. The loss ruined another solid start by Moore (1-2). The left-hander struck out five and walked one and allowed just two hits. Danville starter Casey Hodges (4-3) got the win. He struck out seven and walked none in seven innings of work.
