Bradford glad to be with Rays

Reliever impressed by resiliency of young team SEATTLE -- After a whirlwind couple of days, Chad Bradford joined the Rays prior to Saturday's game against the Mariners. Bradford flew to Baltimore on the Orioles' team charter from Anaheim on Wednesday before flying to Jackson, Miss., on Thursday to take advantage of an off-day by spending the day with his family. That's when he got the news he was headed to the Rays. So Friday he flew back to Baltimore to gather his things and on Saturday he flew from Baltimore to Seattle. On Thursday, the Rays picked up the veteran reliever in a trade with the Orioles. Bradford was assigned to the Rays via a waiver claim for a player to be named later.
