Plymouth Argyle, 17:34, August 9, 2008 Plymouth Argyle have signed their second player within a week from Championship rivals QPR in the shape of left-back Chris Barker. The 28-year-old has signed a three year deal for an undisclosed fee and links up with Simon Walton, who moved to Plymouth from Loftus Road earlier in the week. Paul Sturrock is delighted with his new acquisition after admitting he was finding it hard to persuade players to join Argyle. He said: "We have admired Chris from afar in the past. He has a wealth of experience after playing for several Championship teams. "He is more than 6ft tall with a long throw, and has great experience.
