Small pro-Tibet protest pulled off in Tiananmen included Canadian activist Sidhartha Banerjee, THE CANADIAN PRESS BEIJING - A Canadian man is facing deportation from China after he and four others dropped to the ground at the iconic Tiananmen Square in the latest call for Tibetan freedom. Montrealer Chris Schwartz, a member of the student government at Concordia University and long-time member of the pro-Tibetan movement, was among a group of activists from Students for a Free Tibet detained in Beijing on Saturday. A spokeswoman for Students for a Free Tibet in Beijing said Schwartz has been involved in the Tibet cause for nearly a decade, despite the fact he's only 24 years old.
