RAF court ruling 'a setback'

Cape Town - The department of transport said on Saturday it respects the Cape High Court's decision to put the new Road Accident Fund (RAF) payment system on hold. "It will be a minor setback, but we are going back to the drawing board to discuss how we take this forward," said spokesperson Collen Msibi. Delivering judgement on the matter between the RAF and a group of lawyers affiliated to the Law Society of SA on Friday, Judge Jeanette Traverso said the system should be put on hold pending the completion of a court review process.
