Alleged mob boss nabbed in Canada

Wanted in Italy for drug trafficking An alleged Calabrian mob boss who has been living in a luxury Toronto lakefront condo penthouse after fleeing his homeland two years ago had continued to maintain his worldwide narco-trafficking connections, Italian police say. But that ended during the lunch hour Thursday when international fugitive Giuseppe Coluccio, 42, was arrested in a high-risk takedown by police at an undisclosed Markham strip mall. An unnamed man, described as Coluccio's Canadian driver, was taken into custody but released without charges. Coluccio is held under an immigration warrant and faces extradition. Canadian police allege he entered Canada with fake ID. An immigration warrant was issued for him in 2006.
