BBCWW takes stake in Clarkson company

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) has taken a controlling stake in a company set up by Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson to better exploit the show's commercial potential internationally. It is understood that BBCWW has bought just over 50% of Bedder 6, the company created by Clarkson and Top Gear executive producer Andy Wilman as a channel for profit from certain aspects of the show's merchandising and commercial activities. As a result of the deal, three BBCWW executives have been made directors of Bedder 6: BBC Commercial company secretary James Stevenson; BBCWW director of content and production Wayne Garvie; and BBC Magazines finance director Kevin Langford.
