It is evident that many people in the world do not clearly understand what is really happening in the S.Ossetia due to being ill-informed. The conflict has been launched at night, Aug.7 to 8, by Georgian troops invading South Ossetia, destroying the City of Tskhinval with heavy armament and massacring hundreds of Ossetian civilians. The picture with "missile bombardment of Georgia", reportedly by Russian army, demonstrated by many TV channels was in fact that of Georgian attack on the South Ossetia and it was shown by Russian TV more than 12 hours before the American and European media reported about "Russian agression against Georgia". I personally saw these TV reports when the Georgian invasion has began, but at that time all western media were keeping deathly silence. The Russian empire is alive and well, much to the chagrin of the West. Joseph Stalin seems to have a smile on his face. What happened with South Ossetia cannot be compared with Czechoslovakia, or the Nazi Germany, like many Georgians try to provoke the world intellectual community here. On the contrary, the Russians were/are doing good for the people (here I mean the South Ossetians, who were predatorily divided by Georgia [FACT] during the USSR). If not Russia, please, anyone just name me any country in this damn corrupted, double-standardized and brainwashed world that would have protected 70,000 of ethnic South Ossetians against the Georgians (who came there with only one intention: force historically opposing [FACT] ethnicity to bow to Saakashvili - the dictator, rape/kill their women/kids or face the option of total extermination in the night)??? Stalin (a Georgian) has laid the foundation for this Georgian-Ossetian conflict in his time by giving Ossetian territory to his Georgian fellowmen. As the Soviet Union started disintegrating, many republics felt that they deserve the right to determine their future. However, Georgians must have been rather zealous supporters of Stalin's genocidal strategies when they brutally attacked South Ossetia in 1991 in response to its declaration of independence from Georgia and the Soviet Union. Unfortunately for Georgia, their attempts to exterminate the ethnically different Ossetians and occupy their territory failed due to a strong resistance put up by Ossetian, Abkhasian, Armenian, Chechen, and Russian fighters, among others. The recent unprovoked all-out attack by Georgia's military on the break away region the day before the Olympic games is a return to that old treacherous Stalin-inspired strategy of ethnic cleansing. What we have now is a new attempt by Georgia and the United States to exterminate the small ethnic group, deny its right for independence, and capture its territory. As an American taxpayer, you should be asking why your government has spent over $40 million of your money in equipping and training Georgian military, which has just obliterated the capital of South Ossetia and killed by some estimates about 1,400 civilians. Moreover, as an American citizen, you should be asking your government and the media why it is supporting the ethnic conflict drawn up by Stalin. This is yet another failure of the US government and the media to be honest to the American people (just like they lied to us about Iraq). I do not know about you folks, but I no longer feel that I live in a democratic country with limited government ruled by the will of its people. To conclude, I can only add the words of Chechnya President Kadyrov who has announced that he is prepared to send 10,000 of Chechens to screw Georgians. If he really means it, then Saakashvili will probably be busy searching for a safe place at GWBush ranch to hide. The Chechen President also said that he watched CNN when they showed how Saakashvili heard the sound of a plane in Gori and abandoned the crowd of officials and Georgian Ministers by hiding somewhere aside. Kadyrov said that Saakashvili wasn´t even man enough to look at the jetplane. In fact he ran so fast that his Bodyguards could catch him. Thus, teh Georgians need to send him to the Olympics to be a splinter there! Lol How the commander in chief can be such a coward, especially when he is supposedly giving orders to the Georgian Army??? Well, I guess every nations chooses the president it deserves, just like we deserved GWBush. Wake up, lies is all around!

Hello. Is there anyone else from Ossetia that can tell us what is happening?

I'm afraid the people in South Ossetia can't reply to your question. For few weeks there was no basic things such water and electricity, let alone internet. Journalists can't use satellite equipment, and people can't use mobile phones because they are targeted by mortar fire which homes on radio signals. The capital of South Ossetia is in ruins, survirours hide in the basements. All correspondents report from Georgian side, and they report the Georgian propaganda. If you don't believe me, wait a few days / weeks, and if you are still bothered, find facts about Georgian genocide of Ossetians which Russia will present to Haague tribunal.

Ossetia is under fire, but surely there are Ossetian people elsewhere in the world who can share their opinion. Please do tell us how you feel.

On August 7th, 2008 at 10:00 PM Georgia attacked South Ossetia. On August 8th, 2008 at 3:30 AM Georgian Army tanks entered Tskhinvali. Artillery bombing proceeded all day long, and fight with the use of tanks and heavy military machinery was lead against both Ossetian Army and civilian inhabitants. 2000 innocent civilians are already killed. The Russian peacemakers arrived to South Ossetia in the evening of August 8th, 2008 to settle the conflict and prompt peace in the republic and to protect Russian citizens living on the territory of South Ossetia. Stop RUSSIA and their military propaganda!

If you say something, be so kind to find the facts as an aproval to your words! There is no any military propoganda in Russia. We try to protect our civilians. United States try to become the only world power, to make everybody do what they want, and Russia is the only country which is able to stop them! And president Saakashvili is just a Washington's puppet and unable to make any decissions himself. STOP THAT WAR!!!

There is not ANY military propaganda in Russia... i believe those to be naive words. Russia may attempt to protect some of their civilians, but definitely not all and I believe recent and past history can prove that. I also think the protection of your own civilians should not be the combatants only task...civilians of any country should always be preserved. However, I do not think the issue here is this... it is my belief that the issue most likely stems back further (obviously). I think it is quite apparent that Georgia attacked first...but what has Russia done to provoke this attack...?

Not to worry. American Media reported that Georgia attacked South Ossetia first. Americans believe that Russia has the right to protect its citizens. However, we also believe Russia should have limited its response to the area of conflict and not push troops far into Georgia's territory. The Georgian people should not be punished for a stupid decision of their politicians. We believe the Georgian people should vote to remove their president and all those responsible. And replace them with leaders whom will work to have lasting peace with Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
