The Police Wrap Up Reunion Tour In New York City

By: Howie Edelson The Police wrapped up their reunion tour last night (August 7th) at New York's Madison Square Garden. According to the band, it was the last time they will ever take the stage together as a group. The show was the band's 155th concert since kicking off the tour in May 2007, and was a benefit for New York public television stations Thirteen/WNET and WLIW-21. The Police began their set with a cover of Cream's 1967 classic "Sunshine Of Your Love." According to fan reports, the NYPD's drum section from the police marching band joined the group for "Message In A Bottle," and Sting's and Andy Summers'children joined the band onstage to dance along to "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic."
