Paris Hilton has a negative influence, the study says Teenage girls should be taught feminism at school to counter the growing number who regularly describe themselves using abusive 'male' terms such as "slut" and "whore", an expert has claimed. Dr Jessica Ringrose, who studied the social habits of schoolgirls, found they increasingly linked their personal worth to their ability to be sexually attractive to men. She found that sexualised insults abounded in chatrooms and social networking sites and young girls even boasted of being good at sex acts. Dr Ringrose, of London's Institute of Education, called for teachers to cover feminism in class and provide positive role models for young women, which could include figures such as Virginia Woolf, Suffragettes leader Emmeline Pankhurst and even US cartoon character Lisa Simpson....
