Plucky British Scouts were today enjoying a barbecue after cheating death when the bus they were traveling across Canada in smashed head-on into a lorry. Ten of the 102 teenagers on the trip were injured and taken to hospital following the accident during their journey to Toronto last night. But today it was back to business for the West Lancashire unit as they stuck to their original schedule. Simon Carter, spokesman for The Scout Association, whose motto is Be Prepared, said: ‘All of the young people have been discharged from hospital and they are undertaking the normal programme for today.
