A collection of Leonardo da Vinci masterpieces from the Queen's personal art collection have been put on display in Scotland for the first time. By Auslan Cramb, Scottish Correspondent The tiny Smith Museum and Art Gallery in Stirling is the unlikely venue for the exhibition that celebrates the 60th birthday later this year of the Prince of Wales. Ten of the Renaissance master's finest works, which are among the greatest treasures in the Royal Collection, were unveiled to the public yesterday. The Da Vinci drawings reflect the remarkable variety of his work and include portraiture, anatomy, warfare and natural history.
