Immigration officials have swooped on a Powys fish and chip shop. Officers from the UK Border Agency raided the Quality Fish Bar, Waterloo Road, Llandrindod Wells, following a tip-off about illegal immigrants working there. A 45-year-old Indian man was arrested and now faces deportation. He was arrested after checks revealed he was in the UK illegally after failing to leave the country once his asylum claim was turned down.
