ATK contract will bring 120 new jobs to Rocket Center

From Staff Reports Cumberland Times-News ROCKET CENTER, W.Va. — An initial $10 million contract for the manufacturing of composite rotor tubes is expected to generate more than $100 million in annual revenue and create up to 120 jobs at the Alliant Techsystems site in Mineral County. “The production of the composite rotor tubes for the USEC program is a significant milestone in the continued growth at ABL,” said Keith Funkhouser, Allegany Ballistic Laboratory’s vice president and general manager. Within ATK, the USEC Inc.’s American Centrifuge Program will be managed at ATK’s Aerospace Structures Division in Clearfield, Utah. “ACP will employ approximately 120 people in Rocket Center at its peak.
