Zimbabwe: Airzim to Maintain Routes

Posted to the web 29 July 2008 Harare AIR Zimbabwe will not scrap any routes, but has rationalised operations to reduce operating costs as part of its strategy for survival. The national carrier will now fly direct to Dubai and London from Harare, and not via Lilongwe and Kinshasa, said Air Zimbabwe corporate communications manager Mrs Pride Khumbula. Air Zimbabwe will maintain its direct flights to Lilongwe and Kinshasa, among other regional flights. Mrs Khumbula said the national carrier would also reduce the frequency of flights to other destinations that it considers a drag on operations and concentrate on routes with more positive results.
