Victoria Richardson, 17, a pupil at Skipton Girls High School in West Yorkshire, was one of 36 students to take part in the Headstart Summer School in Cambridge last week. Here is her diary. Sunday On the train down to Cambridge from Leeds I didn't start to get nervous until the final part of my four-and-a half-hour journey, just as the train pulled into the station. My nerves were calmed when I saw a guy pulling out his letter from Cambridge and I approached him to ask him if he was attending the Headstart course as well. He was, so we walked to King's College together, discussing what possible activities could await us.
