CS' speech at Opening Ceremony of Hong Kong Olympic Piazza (with photos/video)

Following is the speech by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Olympic Piazza today (July 25). James, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, I am delighted to officiate at the opening ceremony of the Olympic-themed Piazza organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. In just two weeks the spectacular and long-awaited Beijing Olympics will begin. Hosting the Games is not only the pride of the Chinese people, but also our solemn promise to the international community. Hong Kong is honoured and proud to co-host the Equestrian Events and be part of the Olympic history. After three years of vigorous preparation, we are ready.
