Jul 25 2008 by Katie Norman, South Wales Echo RUNNERS of all abilities are preparing to step up to the challenge of the Great Wales Run. The 10km event in Cardiff Bay on Sunday is expected to attract celebrities among hundreds of charity runners and 21 elite runners from around the world. Fundraisers will include Wales prop Gethin Jenkins running for Marie Curie Cancer Care in memory of his mother, Lesley, who lost her battle with lung cancer last year. He will be joined by a host of fellow Marie Curie runners, including GMTV soap expert Tina Baker, gardening presenter Lynne Allbutt and Eastenders actress Jane Slaughter, who plays Queen Vic barmaid Tracey.
