Colin Firth is among fellow thespians, writers and musicians who are today backing a charity drive to fight starvation in East Africa. Oxfam is appealing for funds to expand the emergency response in Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and northern Kenya, as soaring food prices have left millions hungry and on the edge of destitution. Mamma Mia! star Colin, along with actors John Hannah and Daniela Nardini, author Iain Banks and musician Sandi Thom, have all backed the drive.
