Lord Trimble lined up as minister in Cameron government

Lord Trimble is being lined up as a minister in a David Cameron government as part of the deal to bring Ulster Unionists into the mainstream of UK politics. One of the key architects of the Northern Ireland peace process, he is now a Conservative peer and has developed a close working relationship with senior members of the Tory front bench including the Tory leader.
