Taipei - Taiwan on Thursday welcomed China's decision to allow the designation Chinese-Taipei for the Taiwan team participating in the Beijing Olympics, calling it "a goodwill gesture" from Beijing. Taiwan's ruling party KMT made the rearms in response to a report in the China News Agency, which referred to Chinese-Taipei athletes, not China-Taipei athletes as the Chinese media has been using in the past month. KMT Spokesman Lee Chien-jung said the KMT welcomed Beijing's move.
