Property of Jean-Pierre Bemba seized

The Portuguese authorities have seized property of the former Congolese Vice President Jean-Pierre Bemba in Portugal at the request of the International Criminal Court (ICC) which continued for atrocities committed by its troops in Central Africa, announced the prosecutor on Tuesday. "At the request of the International Criminal Court, property known by Jean-Pierre Bemba were seized in June, told AFP spokesperson of the Attorney General, Ana Lima, without further details. According to the Portuguese weekly Sol, justice has seized the villa of Mr. Bemba in southern Portugal, estimated at 2.5 million, two high-end cars, a yacht and a Boeing aircraft, as well as various documents .
