Hwaseong Fortress

I recently took a trip out to Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, something that i've been looking forward to since I began planning my vacation. The funny thing was, that many of my Korean friends looked at me with the expression, "You're going to the fortress? Why?" "Um... because it's a national treasure. Because it's a historic landmark. Because it's in my backyard." With all the traveling I do, I'm always amazed when people dont' take advantage of their surroundings.
