Lois Kitchens Lumpkin

TEXARKANA - Mrs. Lois Kitchens Lumpkin, 80, of Hope, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana. She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Gurdon, the daughter of Ray and Madie Lucille Clark Kitchens, and she was retired from Cal-Maine, was a homemaker and a mother. She was a member of the Hope Church of Christ and former member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Uzzel. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, James R. Lumpkin, of Hope; three daughters, Mary Lucille Pittman, of Lake Charles, La., Paula (Michael) Loibner, of Rison, and Lois Eileen (Larry) Lee, of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and, one great-great grandchild.
