Liverpool are tipped to make a final 'take-it-or-leave-it' offer of £16m and Steve Finnan for Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry. Rafa Benitez has been thwarted so far in his bid to take the England international to Anfield and Arsenal have asked to be kept aware of developments as they eye a potential 11th hour swoop. But with Villa valuing their former captain at £18m, the Reds believe their package meets those demands with Finnan valued in the £3m bracket.
