Kenny Perry hasn't exactly set the course alight in his opening round of the US Bank Championship. The sizzling hot American veteran, winner in three of his last five PGA Tour events, shot a 3-under 67 at the par 70 Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois, to trail Swedish first-round leader Richard S Johnson by four shots. He had no regrets, however, about his much criticized decision to select this tournament ahead of the 137th Open Championship, currently in progress in England this week.
