Abilene's Bailey unhappy to place fifth in Estes tourney

When asked about the 10-over 82 she shot in the final round of the Dodge/Bob Estes Abilene Junior golf tournament on Thursday, Cooper High School's Brooke Bailey became teary-eyed. Bailey entered the final round of the three-day tournament Thursday with a second-place total of 148, seven strokes behind eventual winner Lauren Weaver. But Bailey saw her game collapse in a bogey-ridden front nine at the Abilene Country Club's Fairway Oaks course. Carding double-bogeys on the first, second and fifth holes, the Big Country's lone female competitor slipped to fifth place, tied with Spring's Katie Paxton with a three-round total of 230.
