RAYMOND — Samantha W. Schurter, 45, of Raymond, died Monday, July 14, 2008, in Brookfield. She was born on Feb. 20, 1963, in Laurel, Miss., the daughter of Betty Joyce Carlisle of Terrytown, La., and the late Sam Carlisle. Samantha was raised in Terrytown, La., and was a graduate of Belle Chase High School, a graduate of LSU with a degree in psychology, and then received her master's degree in nursing from the University of New Hampshire. At the time of her death she was pursuing her ARNP at University of Massachusetts in Boston. In addition to her mother, family members include her husband, Stephen R.R. Farnum of Raymond; her daughter, Maple W.
