Scots DJ Heather Suttie leads anti-plastic bag campaign

With Scotland adopting targets for recycling household waste, cutting down the amount of rubbish we produce has never been more important. And with Scots having used more than one billion carrier bags last year, that's no easy task. Craig McQueen speaks to two people at the forefront of efforts to help us live less wasteful lives. WHEN XFM DJ Heather Suttie first noticed the number of discarded carrier bags scattered around her neighbourhood, she decided to do something about it. The 34-year-old from Glasgow has always been keen on looking after the environment, but felt the need to do more to stop the streets becoming cluttered with plastic.
