Lebanon's joy as Israel mourns

Lebanon has been welcoming lorryloads of its dead, released by Israel as part of yesterday’s exchange deal. Nearly 200 bodies of those killed while trying to infiltrate Israel in recent years were exhumed and sent north over the Lebanese border on Red Cross trucks. They were welcomed as fallen heroes. The others to come home were five Lebanese prisoners, said by Hezbollah to be the last to be held by Israel. They were welcomed in Beirut by the Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who said: “The factors that pressured the Israeli enemy to accept the deal were not merely humanitarian. There was their inability to save the two soldiers and their fear of our resistance.” One of the five, Samir Qantar, had been serving multiple life sentences for a Palestinian guerilla attack. How EURONEWS could describe the released murders as "Palestinian Geurrillas" (literally "fighters") is a travesty and further propegates Hezbolla progeganda lies. These aren't "fighters"--they are pathetic cowardly murderers of children and defenseless civilians. Unfortunately, the European media chooses to ignore the fact that the Israeli government's willingness to bargain for the release of its soldiers--including for their remains--.

I couldn't agree more, Hezbollah do not act like honorable fighters. It is an organization of murderers with values set back in the far past. As for calling the murderers "Palestinian Guerrillas", again I agree that they should not be called 'fighters'. However, the word 'Guerrilla' gained quite a different connotation during the last few decades of 20th century. In fact, news publishers changed the meaning of 'Guerrilla' to 'bad aggressive guy'.
