By Bill Stewart Special to Toledo Free Press WTOL News 11 and The Blade are teaming up as news partners, said Mitch Jacob, news director of WTOL. “We're excited about the opportunity to team up. The partnership will officially begin in a couple of weeks. We've had several meetings to discuss what opportunities and projects we can jointly work on,” Jacob said. The Blade previously had a media arrangement with 13abc, WTVG. Jacob also said Natalie Grise is joining WTOL's sports team as its new weekend sports anchor. He said she replaces Gary Sensenstein, who retired after more than 20 years at WTOL. Jacob said Grise is the weekend sports anchor at KPLC-TV, WTOL's sister-station in Lake Charles, La. She is a Louisville, Ky., native and attended Western Kentucky University. Her first day with WTOL will be July 21, Jacob said. •... [read full story]
