The Weinstein Co. reportedly will co-finance Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's latest movie, as well as distribute it domestically and oversee production. The Hollywood Reporter said the studio will also handle worldwide marketing duties for Inglorious Bastards, a World War II action film scheduled to start shooting in Europe in October. Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who previously ran Miramax, have worked on writer-director Tarantino's past films Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill.
