The Left Front leaders, led by the Communist Party of India-Marxist general secretary Prakash Karat, have reached the Rashtrapati Bhavan [Images] to submit their letter withdrawing support to the United Progressive Alliance government to the President. The Left parties are expected to request the President to convene a special session of Parliament at the earliest for the government to prove its majority.
