BY REBECCA MORTON Staff Writer MARLBORO - Applications seeking grants to help pay for road improvements on Union Hill and Vanderburg roads have been submitted to the Transportation Trust Fund Authority Act, New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) Municipal Aid Program. The Marlboro Township Council approved two resolutions at its June 26 meeting authorizing the submission of the grant applications. According to the grant application, a 1.05-mile stretch of Union Hill Road from Tennent Road to Route 9 will be reconstructed. The project, assigned a first priority rating of the two projects, is estimated to cost $1,399,665. The township is requesting a grant in the amount of $1,239,665.
