DTM: New weight and pit-stop time-frame regulations

Published July 8, 2008 in DTM. Upon request of the manufacturers, the DTM commission has agreed to reduce the basic weights of the 2006 and 2007-spec cars by ten kilos each. From the Zandvoort round, the basic weight of the 2006-spec Audi A4 DTM amounts to 1,020kg while the basic weight of the 2007-spec cars of Audi and Mercedes-Benz was defined to be 1,030kg, from now on. Furthermore, the two car generations will be merged and scored jointly, in the future, when it comes to the allocation of the success-related additional weights. Furthermore, the pit-stop time frame was extended for the final six rounds of the season.
