A man depressed for being allegedly duped by an illegal recruiter on Tuesday scaled a tower of the National Transmission Co. (Transco) in Bulacan and stayed there for more than nine hours. Roy Villar, 20, a native of Davao, climbed the 50-meter high Transco tower in the middle of a rice field in Barangay Turo in Bocaue town around 3 p.m. Transco personnel were forced to cut off power to areas serviced by the tower to avoid Villar's electrocution. They also tried to talk Villar out and handed him safety belts and a harness. The man, however, refused help. “It’s already dark and the man was still clinging on the insulator.
