LONGMONT - Intrado Inc. (Nasdaq: TRDO), a Longmont-based emergency call center company, has partnered with Atlanta-based Hughes Telematics Inc. to provide emergency services for Hughes Telematics-equipped vehicles. The partnership gives Hughes access to Intrado's emergency call centers. The centers will route all emergency calls to dispatch centers following a vehicle-related emergency - such as an accident - if the vehicle is equipped with Hughes technology. For example, the call is made when the airbag deploys or when a passenger provides notification of an emergency situation. By 2010 Chrysler LLC and Mercedes-Benz USA LLC vehicles will begin phasing in the technology, which is similar to OnStar Corp.'s, the company said.
