I'm pleased the Church of England's Synod has voted in favour of allowing women bishops without giving into the traditionalist's demands. Maybe the church will do better off with the traditionalists leaving. I don't believe their arguments stand up. They talk about Jesus and his disciples, but the way I see it Jesus did have female disciples. And who were the first people according to the gospel to hear the good news that Jesus had risen? Women-Jesus trusted the women to spread the good news for him. He didn't just give tasks to men. The Vatican is interfering now. Saying the decision will harm Catholic-Anglican relations. I'm in the Salvation Army which has had women leaders and I don't think it's done us any harm.
