Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday received at Al Bateen Palace the Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Dr Mahmoud Al Abrash. Al Abrash is currently on a visit to the UAE. Shaikh Khalifa welcomed Al Abrash in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Shaikh Khalifa welcomed the Syrian delegation and stressed on the need for continuous contact between Arab parliaments, adding that such contact forms part of official political interactions among Arab countries. Shaikh Khalifa noted the important role of Arab parliaments in boosting Arab solidarity and fraternity.
