Updated 12:05 p.m.: Accused Memphis Hotel Shooter Will Be Charged

Memphis, TN -- After a man was shot in the hip at a Memphis hotel, police officers say they know who the shooter is and plan on charging him Tuesday, July 8, 2008. The gunshot wound sent the man to the Med in critical condition. The Medical District says as of July 8, 2008, he was released. The shooting happened Monday, July 7, 2008, at the "French Quarter Suites" around 6:00 p.m. Police say after the victim was shot he got in his white Mercedes, backed up into a truck owned by one of the hotel guests and took off. Police had to track him down. They found him an hour after he was shot on Weiner Road in North Memphis. His Mercedes was struck by two bullets.
