Hamas leaders in Egypt for talks on truce, prisoners' swap with Israel

Hamas will resume its talks with Egyptian mediators on its fragile truce agreement with Israel, including a possible prisoners' swap, a top Hamas leader said Tuesday. Gaza strongman Mahmoud Zahar arrived in Egypt ahead of a Hamas delegation expected to fly in later in the day from Syria for talks with Egypt's chief of intelligence, Omar Suleiman. He said the talks will also tackle the fate of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit whom Hamas wants to swap with hundreds of Palestinians prisoners in Israel. "We want to discuss all the circumstances surrounding the calming," Zahar told reporters on arrival, using Hamas euphemism for the cease-fire.
