VANCOUVER, July 8 /CNW/ - CRH Medical Corporation (CRM:TSX-V) announced today that it has opened a Center for Colorectal Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. This Center is the Company's first center in the state of Louisiana, one of many new markets that CRH has targeted for expansion. The opening of this location represents the 8th new Center opened in 2008 bringing the Company's total number of Centers to 16. According to the National Institute of Health, the prevalence rate of hemorrhoids in the US is about 4.4% of the population. Approximately 50% of the U.S. population will develop hemorrhoids by age 50.
