Cyprus crash pair to appeal extradition warrant

By Nathan Morley 08.JUL.08 The two British men who were passengers in a car whose driver deliberately ran over a teenager in Protaras will appeal against the European arrest warrant which will force them to return to Cyprus in a few weeks. Michael Binnington, 22, and Luke Atkinson, 23, from the south of England, were originally cleared of conspiracy to commit manslaughter, but were then handed a three-year jail sentence in absentia last April. Julian Harrington, the driver of a car, was jailed for 15 years last February after pleading guilty to charges of manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm.
