Security Council condemns suicide bombing in Kabul

The UN Security Council has strongly condemned the suicide bombing that killed more than 40 people and wounded nearly 150 others outside the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan. The members of the council underlined the need to bring the perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of "this reprehensible act of terrorism to justice." In a statement read out by the council's president for the month of July, Ambassador Le Luong Minh of Viet Nam, the council urged all States to cooperate actively with the Afghan authorities.
